The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Sohail Tanvir, former Pakistan cricketer and part of the 2009 T20 World Cup-winning side, as the chairman of the junior selection committee.
The PCB declared that his first task would be to choose the Pakistan U19 team for the 2023 ACC U19 Asia Cup, which will be held in the UAE from December 8 to 17. Following that, the Pakistan U19 squad will compete in the ICC U19 World Cup in Sri Lanka from January 13 to February 4.

Commencing his international career in 2007, Tanvir represented Pakistan in 57 T20Is, two Tests, and 62 ODIs, amassing 130 wickets and 612 runs across formats.
