The district administration cut off the electricity of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally venue after the stipulated time ended.

The police entered the venue and cleared the stage, while the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reached Ring Road with his convoy, crossing several barriers, and addressed the gathering there.

According to media, the district administration instructed the PTI leadership to end the rally after the allotted time and warned them to adhere to the timings.

The Deputy Commissioner clarified that any violation of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) would result in legal action.

The PTI leadership had not arrived at the rally venue by the stipulated time, and the district administration had permitted the rally from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Sources stated that the administration deployed police at the entry and exit points of Lahore and ordered the immediate evacuation of the rally venue.

Sources further revealed that the administration instructed the police to file cases for SOP violations, and when the police entered the rally venue on the administration’s orders, people started leaving on their own.

Meanwhile, at the Ferozwala location, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa got agitated upon seeing the barriers.

He got out of his vehicle, broke the truck’s window with a weapon, and cleared the way for his convoy.

The administration had blocked the road near Ferozwala with containers. The convoy accompanying the Chief Minister helped move the trucks aside, after which the convoy proceeded towards the motorway.

According to sources, Ali Amin Gandapur arrived at the rally venue with a convoy of 6,000 to 7,000 people, including over 500 vehicles, 50 buses, coasters, Vigo pickups, and 6 rescue vehicles.

However, the Chief Minister could not reach the rally venue and returned from Ring Road.

Later, the Chief Minister arrived near the rally venue on Ring Road with his convoy and delivered a brief speech. He said, “I broke through all the barriers to reach you. Are you happy? I have arrived; accept my presence.”

He announced that he would soon secure the release of Imran Khan. After seeking permission from the participants, Gandapur ended his brief address and left.

Faisal Javed formally started the rally. He said, “As roads are being blocked, the spirits of the people are rising. There are obstacles everywhere; how can the rally end on time?”

Heavy police presence was noted at various locations on the routes leading to the Kahna Kacha rally venue, with stringent security arrangements.

PTI flags, caps, and scarves were on sale at various stalls along the rally route.

Workers alleged that the police were seizing their lights, generators, speakers, and preventing them from reaching the rally venue.
