Another key Hezbollah leader killed, says Israeli military

On Sunday, the Israeli military stated that it has killed another senior Hezbollah leader, Nabil Qaouk. Just a day earlier, Hezbollah had confirmed the deaths of several commanders, including its leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

Nabil Qaouk was reported to be a member of Hezbollah’s Central Council. Just hours earlier, Hezbollah had confirmed that its Southern Command commander, Ali Karaki, was killed in an Israeli attack.

Reports indicate that Hezbollah has launched fresh rocket attacks on Israel, while Israeli forces continue to strike the positions of the organization. The risk of a new war breaking out in the region is growing.

The Israeli Defense Forces reported that eight missiles fired from Lebanon landed near the city of Tiberias in northern Israel. The military stated on Telegram that the missiles landed in “open areas,” and there were no injuries.

Since the Gaza war began, Hezbollah has been almost daily launching rocket attacks on northern Israel, stating that the attacks will only stop once a ceasefire is achieved in Gaza.

It is worth noting that on October 7 of last year, Hamas launched attacks on Israeli, prompting the Israeli Defense Forces to start operations against him in the Gaza Strip, which are still ongoing.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli military reported that its air force had targeted “dozens of Hezbollah sites” in Lebanon over the past few hours. Lebanese officials have stated that at least 15 people were killed in last night’s attacks.
