Samsung may skip the entry-level Galaxy S26 in 2026

There are rumors now that Samsung might make some drastic change to its flagship Galaxy S lineup in 2026. When the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are coming into the market in January 2025, the company may skip the standard Galaxy S26 this time. This is to be followed by Samsung tablet lineups, where the basic Galaxy Tab S9 was missing in the 2023 release, with only the Galaxy Tab S9+ and S9 Ultra included in the lineup. It feels as if Samsung is going for this model for its smartphones also.

If that’s so, it will launch only the Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra during early 2026, skipping the regular S26. With mounting competition from Chinese manufacturers-bore rumors have them readying even smaller, higher performance devices-competition to deal with, the Galaxy S25 would have more pressure on it. So, the S26 lineup might be reducing the options of Samsung. However, taking into account Ice Universe, which typically offers reliability in addition to overwrought hype, that needs a grain of salt.

Samsung’s newest entrant is Galaxy S24 FE which was announced last week and will hit the store shelves in October. It is coming to Pakistan this November for a price of Rs. 224,999. Few upgrades it has, like a much better display, and also slightly larger in vapor chamber for better cooling. It is powered by the Exynos 2400e chipset and its battery is accompanied by a 4,700 mAh battery. That battery can be charged wired at 25W and wirelessly at 15W.
