Himesh Reshamiya’s father passes away

Indian singer, composer, and actor Himesh Reshammiya’s father, Vipin Reshammiya, a renowned music director, has passed away at the age of 87.

According to reports from Indian media, the Reshammiya family issued a statement on September 18, confirming Vipin Reshammiya’s death.

The statement expressed their grief, saying, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Vipin Reshammiya, on September 18, 2024.”

The family further added, “A compassionate and loving person, he brought joy to many lives with his presence. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, countless beautiful memories, and extraordinary music.”

Reports revealed that Vipin Reshammiya had been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai due to breathing issues, where he eventually passed away.

Indian media also noted that his last rites would be held in Mumbai on Thursday, September 19, at 11:30 AM.

Vipin Reshammiya was known for producing films like *The Xposé* and *Tera Suroor*, as well as composing music for the movie *Insaaf Ka Suraj*.

Himesh Reshammiya, following in his father’s footsteps, began his career as a music composer and made his acting debut in 2007 with the film *Aap Ka Suroor*.

In addition to his work in music and acting, Himesh has served as a judge on several popular Indian singing reality shows, including *Indian Idol*, *Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge*, *Sur Kshetra*, and *Music Ka Maha Muqabla*.

Himesh has also showcased his acting talents in films such as *Aap Ka Suroor*, *Karzzzz*, *Radio*, *Kajraare*, *Damadamm*, *Khiladi 786*, and *Tera Suroor*.
