Army Chief Hails China, Saudi Arabia, and UAE for consolation in Pakistan’s economic resurgence

Speaking on Friday, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir appreciated the very important support China, Saudi Arabia and the UAE had rendered in helping Pakistan recover economically. He said that their nations had registered immense contribution across various sectors in helping stabilize Pakistan’s economy.

It is relevant to mention that during an army chief’s visit to the Karachi Corps area, he was given briefings on the operational readiness and important training programs being carried out by the military. During the visit, General Munir also inaugurated the Innovista Indus IT Park – an ultramodern facility aimed at empowering youth in Pakistan by improving collaboration between academia and industry, especially the Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence sectors, according to Inter-Services Public Relations. This ceremony was attended by other topmost members of the civil society along with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

The chief minister underscored that the IT sector is of immense importance for that purpose, especially when the economy will be boosted while the youth of Pakistan is being utilized for its betterment. COAS mentioned that projects like Innovista Indus IT Park are constructed which offers an enabling environment for Pakistan’s rapidly growing IT industry.

Engagement with Karachi business community
General Munir also met the Karachi’s business community and appreciated them for their activities towards economic development of Pakistan. The business leaders felt hopeful about the growth of the country’s economy in anticipation of further growth due to support rendered by SIFC.

The army chief appreciated the cooperation of the federal and provincial governments in improving the initiatives aimed at economic development. He said that all efforts to spread despair are defeated by collective effort.

General Munir reiterated and told everybody the country is great in each and every field, asking people to have confidence and trust in its bright future. He repeated that due to immense resources available, Pakistan had every prospect of acceding to the rightful status in the global community.
