Islamabad famous ‘Crusteez Donuts’ issues apology following CJP Isa incident

A popular bakery in Islamabad has publicly apologized following an incident involving Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa that gained significant attention online.

The apology was prompted by a video that surfaced on September 25, which depicted CJP Isa visiting the bakery with his family to buy donuts. During the visit, an employee recognized him and insulted him while filming the encounter.

In light of the incident, the bakery addressed the issue through a statement on its Instagram account, asserting that the employee’s behavior was not representative of the company’s values. They confirmed that an internal investigation was underway and expressed their regret over the unfortunate situation.

The video, which was initially posted on X (formerly Twitter) by self-identified crime reporter Ehtisham Ali Abbasi, quickly garnered over 700,000 views, causing the incident to go viral.

Following the uproar, there were rumors that authorities had closed the bakery and that the employee involved had been dismissed. However, these claims were proven false when a fact check revealed that the bakery remained operational and was still serving customers.

This incident isn’t the first controversy the bakery has faced; on September 11, it was temporarily shut down for not adhering to dengue virus prevention guidelines in Islamabad but was allowed to reopen after rectifying the issues. The recent event has sparked a lively debate, with many people expressing concern about the behavior of the employee involved.
