Karsaz accident: SHC grants bail to driver Natasha Danish

The Sindh High Court (SHC) granted bail to the driver involved in the Karsaz road accident, Natasha Danish, in a drug case while releasing her on surety bonds worth Rs1 million on Monday.

Earlier, Natasha was granted bail on a murder case on September 6 after the family of the victims forgave her. An affidavit submitted by the family reads, “We forgive her in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful and Compassionate.” They also clarified that they had no issue with her being bailed out, as it was an accidental mishap.

However, her application to be released from custody in connection with her drug case was dismissed outright. A petition filed before the court on September 13 was also junked.

One accident report lodged at the local police station said that Natasha, driving Toyota Land Cruiser, ran over a motorcycle, leaving Imran Arif, along with his daughter Amna Arif, seriously injured. It was August when the fatal mishap took away both their lives. Imtiaz Arif lodged an FIR against the incident wherein his brother and niece lost their lives in an accident.

Natasha was arrested and charged with all offenses immediately after the incident.
