Maryam Nawaz takes notice of blind people’s protest, instructs police not to use force

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the protest by blind individuals and has instructed that no force be used against them.

Maryam Nawaz directed the Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman to engage in dialogue with the blind individuals and resolve their issues.

The Chief Minister expressed sympathy for the police officers injured by the blind protestors, but despite their actions, she instructed the police to deal with the blind individuals patiently.

The Chief Minister remarked that these are special persons, and we are aware of their issues, so patience must be shown.

It is worth noting that the blind individuals have been staging a sit-in at Faisal Chowk, Lahore, in support of their demands. They had assaulted police officers when attempts were made to clear the road.
