Muhammad Yousuf resigns from National Cricket selection committee

Muhammad Yousuf, a member of Pakistan’s cricket selection committee, has announced his resignation.

In a social media post, Yousuf cited personal reasons for stepping down from his role. He expressed pride in his contributions to the team’s success and showed confidence in the players’ dedication and talent. Yousuf also extended his best wishes for the national team’s continued success.

Earlier, after the T20 World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had dismissed team director Wahab Riaz and selection committee member Abdul Razzaq due to the team’s poor performance. Former cricketers Muhammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq, along with head coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten, were brought onto the committee.

Additionally, Bilal Afzal was removed from the selection committee, and data analyst Hassan Cheema, as well as Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla, were also relieved of their duties.
