Musadik meets Shaanxi group to boost energy cooperation

In an effort to promote closer ties between Pakistan and China in the areas of energy, petrochemicals, and sustainable industrial development, Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik paid a visit to Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. in Shaanxi Province, China.Dr. Malik was greeted with great warmth by Zhao Futang, General Manager of Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Group, as well as other important company representatives, according to an official statement.

The minister was given an overview of the company’s wide range of activities, including coal mining, petrochemical processing, and sustainable energy developments, during the visit.

One of China’s top state-owned businesses, the Shaanxi Group, is essential to the coal, chemical, and new energy industries.

Enhancing energy cooperation was the main goal of the visit, especially with regard to the coal industry. The conversation centered on strategic alliances, prospective joint ventures, and developments in coal-to-chemicals technology.

The meeting was attended by important Pakistani parties, such as the Thar Coal Board, Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company, and Sindh’s Energy Department, demonstrating the wide range of potential future partnerships.
