PCB launches ‘connection camp’ in Lahore to define cricket’s future

Lahore: In a crucial effort to outline the future of Pakistan cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) inaugurated its prestigious “Connection Camp” on Monday at a local hotel in Lahore.

This strategic, one-day gathering, guided by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, brings together the PCB leadership and a select group of elite cricketers and coaches.

The camp features nine leading Pakistani cricketers, including white-ball captain Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and red-ball captain Shan Masood. Joining them are head coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten, assistant coach Azhar Mahmood, and High-Performance specialist David Reid.

The primary aim of the Connection Camp is to create a collective vision and mission for the future of Pakistan cricket, reviving the pride and excellence that have defined the team since achieving Test status in 1952. The PCB intends to establish a cohesive direction for the team as it tackles immediate challenges and prepares for long-term success.
