Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali takes helm as Punjab university’s new VC

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz) has assumed charge as the new Vice Chancellor of Punjab University, Lahore, one of the oldest and leading universities in the subcontinent and Pakistan.

Prior to this, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali has served as the Vice Chancellor of Pakistan’s top-ranked universities, Quaid-e-Azam University and Government College University Faisalabad. Recently, he was serving at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, and had also been the acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Jhang and Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan.

Dr. Muhammad Ali has extensive experience in higher education. As the Vice Chancellor of Pakistan’s oldest university, it is hoped that he will lead new advancements in the field of higher education.
