PTI claims attempts being made to kidnap Fawad Chaudhry again

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has claimed that senior party leader and Supreme Court lawyer Fawad Chaudhry was first abducted from the Supreme Court premises, despite being granted bail, without any warrant and now attempts are being made to abduct him again despite he was granted bail from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Moments after the IHC ordered the release of Fawad Chaudhry, the capital’s police tried to arrest him again.

Fawad Chaudhry was about to go home after the court ordered his release, when the elite force blocked the way of his car, after which the PTI leader immediately opened the door of his car and ran to enter the IHC premises.

Fawad Chaudhry immediately escaped from there and reached the court of Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb and is awaiting the court’s order regarding the approval of his protective bail.

Fawad Chaudhry’s wife also said in a message on social networking website Twitter that an attempt was made to arrest Fawad Chaudhry again.

Earlier, IHC had ordered the release of Fawad Chaudhry. He was produced before IHC in an armoured vehicle where Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the petition. After the completion of the arguments of the parties, the court had reserved the verdict.

Later, the court declared Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest as null and void and ordered his release.
