Lahore: All educational boards across Punjab have announced the results for Intermediate Part I exams.
The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the results for the 11th grade with Secretary Rizwan Nazir and Controller of Examinations Muhammad Zahid Mian making the announcement.
According to the Lahore Board, a total of 162,684 students appeared for the Intermediate Part I exams out of which 84,785 students passed. The overall pass percentage was 52% while 48% of the candidates failed.
Controller of Examinations Muhammad Zahid expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the Minister of Education for giving him the opportunity. Overall, girls outperformed boys in the results.
He stated that the pass percentage for Pre-Medical was 62.93% for Pre-Engineering 68.05% while the pass percentage for the Arts group was 43.54%. The General Science group had a pass rate of 51.58% and Commerce results showed a pass percentage of 51.02%.
Similarly, the Gujranwala Education Board also announced the annual results for Intermediate Part I where 131,397 candidates appeared. According to the Chairman of the Education Board, 63,326 candidates failed and the success rate was 51% with 68,071 candidates passing.
In addition, the Sahiwal Board announced its Intermediate Part I results with 39,855 students appearing for the exams. According to the Chairman, 20,323 students passed with a success rate of 51%.
The Faisalabad Education Board also announced the Intermediate Part I results where 98,834 candidates appeared. According to the Secretary of the Education Board, 63,806 students passed with a pass rate of 64.56%.
Chairperson of the Multan Board, Maryam Khan, announced the annual results for the 11th grade with 68,674 students appearing. According to the Chairperson, 37,814 candidates passed with a success rate of 55%.
