COPENHAGEN: A train collision in northern Denmark has left several passengers injured after two local trains crashed head-on, emergency services confirmed.
The accident occurred on a railway line connecting the towns of Hillerød and Kagerup, located north of Copenhagen. Authorities said the crash involved two commuter trains operating on the same route.
Emergency responders reported that between five and ten people sustained injuries in the incident. The exact condition of the injured passengers has not yet been fully disclosed.
According to the Greater Copenhagen fire department, all passengers have been evacuated from the trains, and no one is reported to be trapped inside the wreckage. Large-scale rescue operations were immediately launched at the scene.
