Vivo beats google to android 15 update for the first time

In the first, Vivo has emerged as the first brand outside of Google and Samsung to release the latest Android 15 update. While everyone knows Google goes first, then Samsung, Vivo shocked everyone through the official confirmation of roll out on September 30th. However, for some users out there, the features of Android 15 have already begun their parade. Meanwhile, Google is still preparing Android 15 for its Pixel 9 series, which will be released mid-October, and Samsung has not officially announced when it would submit its update list for public review, making it lose out to Vivo.

Vivo’s Android 15 update includes a custom skin from their house in Funtouch OS 15, which Vivo is now rolling out to some models, including the Vivo X100 series, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, and the iQOO 12. Here, users will be having a range of exciting features at their disposal while they begin to blend up the best from the house of Android 15 along with Vivo. The feature that I found to stand out the most with AI-powered “Eraser” in the gallery was very much handy at erasing unwanted objects much like Google’s Magic Eraser. This feature offers more precision in editing for photo enthusiasts with the Shadow removal tool.

Other additions of note include Live Transcribe, which translates spoken language into text in real time-the feature brings deaf and hard-of-hearing users particular value. Other impressive features include Private Space for personal app management and secure partial screen sharing, giving other security and convenience layers.

For the first time, Vivo is leading the way in Android updates as a brand outside the Pixel realm, giving users early access to Android 15 well ahead of their competition. The milestone is therefore secured for Vivo, but whether they can be topped by other brands in later updates only time will tell. However, it can now lay its hands on experience with the cutting-edge features brought in by Android 15.
