WhatsApp to make video calls even more awesome with its latest additions for a glamourous look

WhatsApp is all set to gift its users some exciting updates, over 10 new filters and backgrounds, that are aimed at transforming them for a flawless look. A new feature in the video calling experience was added by this popular messaging app, which comes under Meta, making it all the more customized, and amongst the newly added options, there is a beauty filter that makes you look good.

Your user can choose from a number of background settings to replace their real-time background seamlessly such as a cozy living room, professional office, or even sunny beach, and 10 filter options include warm, cool, black & white, and frosted glass, which really enhance the quality of your video. A blur feature is also available for more formal settings where a virtual background may not be suitable because it really effectively hides clutter through obscuration of your surroundings.

Background options are diverse and run the scale from a cafe theme, pebbles, foodie, smoosh, beach, sunset, celebration, and even forest. Filters that are available include light leak, dreamy, prism light, fisheye, vintage TV, and duotone.

In addition, WhatsApp is implementing a “Touch Up” feature that works much like the kind of beauty filters found on social media and Chinese Android handsets in ironing out all skin blemishes and wrinkles. In video calls shot in low light, there will also be a “Low Light” feature to brighten up the scene, and faces or any object involved will be clear. Both Touch Up and Low Light work well with filters and virtual backgrounds.

These new features will be utilized for both group and individual video calls. WhatsApp is said to be rolling these features out around the world, so perhaps these will be soon available.
