Why did Saim Ayub give his award to Hasnain?

In the Champions One-Day Cup qualifier, Saim Ayub handed over his Player of the Match award to fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain.

During the first qualifier in Faisalabad, the Panthers defeated Marhors by seven wickets to secure their spot in the tournament’s final. Saim Ayub delivered an outstanding bowling performance, claiming 5 wickets and dismantling the Marhors’ batting order, while Mohammad Hasnain contributed with 3 wickets.

After winning the toss, Marhors chose to bat first, but the decision didn’t work in their favor. They lost their first 4 wickets with just 25 runs on the board and were eventually bowled out for 137.

The Panthers chased down the target with ease, finishing at 138 for 3 in the 24th over, and booked their place in the final.

Saim Ayub, awarded Player of the Match for his excellent performance, decided to give the award to Mohammad Hasnain. Saim explained that Hasnain’s early breakthroughs with the new ball set the tone for the victory, which also paved the way for Saim’s own success in taking wickets.

The upcoming match will be the first Eliminator, where Stallions will play against the Lions. The winner will go on to face Marhors in the second Eliminator.
