PTI founder Imran Khan has decided to cancel the rally planned for September 28 in Rawalpindi.
During an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, the PTI founder said that all leadership, including Ali Amin Gandapur, has been instructed that there is no benefit in negotiating with the establishment.
In response to a question, Imran Khan said that Rauf Hassan has misunderstood, and he reiterates to everyone that negotiations with them are pointless.
After the rally on September 8, it was made clear that there would be no negotiations with anyone, as the establishment shows right but hits left.
He further stated that on the 28th, instead of holding a rally in Rawalpindi, they would protest. PTI is withdrawing its request from the Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court.
“We know they will not grant us permission for the rally, and even if they do, it will be outside the city. Instead of the rally, we will now hold a strong protest in Rawalpindi on Saturday, and our lawyers will also protest outside the Supreme Court tomorrow.”
The PTI founder added that he has never met Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, but the constitution clearly states that the senior-most justice should be appointed Chief Justice.
There is only a month left, and the name of the Chief Justice should be announced soon.
