Speaking to the media at PPP leader Sadaqat Sherwani’s residence in Model Town, Lahore, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that the Chief Minister and the People’s Party form an allied government, and they need to make it work.
He further stated that he wanted to appoint vice chancellors on merit, but the ones appointed by PML-N are accused of corruption. Objections to the summary were written and sent.
Governor Punjab also criticized the previous three Chief Justices, saying they caused great damage to the country. They believed that whatever they said was the law and made decisions that have been a source of embarrassment in the judicial history.
Additionally, he mentioned that the procedures were changed through the 18th and 19th amendments, which affected the appointment of judges in Lahore courts. Now, the balance of power must be equalized so that judges follow merit.
