Well, just as the month of September draws to an end, Infinix has launched its 4G version of the Hot 50 coming on the heels of the 5G variant of the device. Though, design-wise, nothing much has changed, their performance specs differ.

Design and display

The 4G version of the Infinix Hot 50 retains the same 6.78-inch IPS LCD display as the 5G model but does boast an upgrade in resolution – this time to 1080p instead of 720p – plus this retains the 120Hz refresh rate for very smooth visuals, and peak brightness has increased to 800 nits, which is even brighter. Otherwise, it is the same as before, with a fingerprint scanner situated on the side and always-on display support still available.

Performance and software

Running under the bonnet of the Hot 50 4G is MediaTek Dimensity 6100. It feels like a slight downgrade from the 6300 model coming on the 5G, but there’s perhaps a slightly lower clock speed on the Cortex A76 CPU, and the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is the same, which should be decent for gaming. There’s a choice between 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, accompanied by 128 GB and 256 GB storage options, and there’s still a memory card slot if you need more storage. On the bright side, this device runs on Infinix’s XOS 14.5 skin atop Android 14.

Cameras

Camera Setup
The camera setup of the Reno 5 Pro has a 50MP primary sensor, which is slightly smaller compared to the one on the 5G model but does come with a brighter f/1.6 aperture lens. The camera comes with a support from a 2MP depth sensor, and you will have 2K at 30 FPS and 1080p at 60 FPS video recording options. On the front, you will have a clear shot with an 8MP selfie camera.

Battery andpricing

It is the same battery, so its 5,000 mAh capacity supports 18W fast wired charging, reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. The Infinix Hot 50 4G starts at a more accessible price of $165, and there are three rather trendy colors: Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Gray.
