Mumbai: The unexpected reason behind the fallout between popular Bollywood actresses Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who once starred in numerous hit films, has come to light.
As per Indian media, Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rai shared a close friendship in the past, but their bond broke due to an incident involving Salman Khan’s temper.
Reportedly, Aishwarya Rai was initially cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2003 film “Chalte Chalte,” but she was later replaced by Rani Mukerji.
The reason for this replacement was because Aishwarya’s ex-boyfriend, Salman Khan, caused a disruption on the film set. As a result, Shah Rukh Khan, the film’s lead actor and producer, decided to cast Rani Mukerji instead.
When Aishwarya learned of this, she felt betrayed by Rani, leading to the end of their friendship.
Rani Mukerji later addressed the issue on Karan Johar’s show “Koffee with Karan,” stating she had no problems with Aishwarya but believed Aishwarya might have an issue with her since she stopped communicating.
Rani also added that though they hadn’t met at any events, she believed if they did cross paths, things would work out, and they would speak again.
