Expected price drop for petroleum products in Pakistan from October 1

ISLAMABAD – Reducing global oil prices, it is likely that the price of petroleum products in Pakistan will be brought down from October 1.

Petrol prices may go down by rupee one per liter and diesel prices may be reduced by rupees three a liter; thus the cut will be as high as rupee three on different products.

The final announcement relating to the price changes is going to come on September 30. Such price changes details were likely going to be mentioned by the Finance Minister who would meet the Prime Minister for this purpose of discussion.
It must be noted that on September 15, the federal government had already implemented an unprecedented reduction in petroleum prices.

Currently, petrol costs 249.10 rupees per liter, high-speed diesel sells at 249.69 rupees per liter, light diesel at 141.93 rupees, and kerosene at 158.47 rupees per liter.
