In a recent statement, the founder of PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan criticized Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, claiming he is behaving irresponsibly and does not appear to be mentally fit.
Speaking to the media from Adiala Jail, he remarked that no chief justice in the world has acted the way the Pakistani chief justice has.
Khan expressed that the current political situation involves “three umpires and three players,” with a fourth player (PDM) colluding with them.
He alleged that Faez Isa has already devised a plan for an extension and accused the chief justice of making a biased decision regarding the election symbol of PTI.
He stated that the Supreme Court judges had clarified in their ruling on reserved seats that the chief justice previously protected fraudulent elections and is now beginning to seize PTI’s seats.
Khan accused Isa of trying to crush PTI in the interest of extending his term, asserting that the PML-N and PPP are family parties that face no scrutiny regarding their internal elections, while PTI’s three party elections have been annulled.
Khan asserted that the Chief Election Commissioner knows that if the fraudulent elections are exposed, Article 6 will be invoked against him.
He claimed the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Justice are interconnected and both benefit from the extension.
He questioned why the Chief Justice has not called the commissioner of Rawalpindi regarding his alleged abduction, suggesting that there is something suspicious, as he stated that such abductions should not happen in any country.
He criticized the Chief Justice for allowing the election commission to decide matters instead of tribunals, ensuring that the government maintains a two-thirds majority.
He also alleged that the Chief Justice is focused on Section 63-A to legitimize floor crossing and secure an extension for himself.
Khan emphasized that the “third umpire” is also seeking an extension, relying on PDM, as they all need each other to remain in power.
He accused them of destroying the rule of law and democracy in pursuit of their power, claiming they do not care if the country deteriorates since their wealth and assets are abroad.
He lamented the moral decline in the country and the destruction of institutions.
He mentioned that even if they are not granted an NOC (No Objection Certificate), PTI will still protest.
He called on the nation and the youth to come out for the sake of Pakistan, stating that they plan to protest in Islamabad and at Minar Pakistan.
Khan noted that around a million people have left the country and criticized the current leadership for ruining the nation for personal gain, asserting that investment is fleeing the country.
Finally, he announced plans for a significant protest at Liaquat Bagh.
