Jay Shah broke the joyful news to players via a message on the social media platform X (Twitter). He said that players who play in the IPL 2025 will receive match payments ranging from ₹7.5 lakh to ₹1.5 crore, which is more than PKR 48.79 million. Every team will also set aside ₹12.60 crore for season-long match fees.
Currently, contracts and a player’s place in the starting eleven determine how much of the Player of the Match award they receive.
But with the new structure, they will also receive substantial match fees.
Moreover, due to the scheduling of the ICC Champions Trophy in February and March next year, there will be a clash between the IPL and Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedules, making it difficult for players to choose between the two leagues.
