The Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITeS (P@SHA), the premier trade body representing Pakistan’s IT industry, has unanimously elected its new leadership for the term 2024-2026 during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024.
Sajjad Mustafa Syed, the newly elected Chairman of P@SHA and Chairman of Excellence Delivered (ExD), comes with leadership experience cut from the same cloth as big ticket global tech companies, such as PwC, Oracle and SAP. He has hosted an investment of $20 million in Pakistan by Oracle to train 7,000 IT professionals there.
During the meeting, P@SHA members discussed ambitious goals, including raising the IT exports of Pakistan up to $5 billion by FY25 with a focused and sustainable approach toward advancement in the tech industry. Worth mentioning is that P@SHA’s general body includes CEOs from the country’s leading IT companies.
Outgoing Chairman Muhammad Zohaib Khan shed light on how the IT industry contributed to an increased amount of $3.2 billion in foreign exchange reserves, rallied the rupee-dollar exchange rate, created jobs, and brought a wonderful international image of Pakistan. With secretary general Nadeem Malik, Khan presented an annual performance review to everybody and reminded everyone of P@SHA’s crucial role in the IT sector of being the lone private-sector representative vis-à-vis organizations such as SIFC, MoITT, PSEB, and TechDestination Pakistan.
Muhammad Umair Nizam, Group Director Ecommerce Gateway, has been elected as Senior Vice Chairman. Nizam is an active member of P@SHA’s Brand and Industry Engagement Committees and serves the Deputy Convener of FPCCI’s IT Subcommittee, with more than 18 years of experience.

The new members of the CEC 2024-2026 are Abdul Wahab Ahmad, Director-ABFA Technologies; Hassan Bin Rizwan, CEO of Moonshot Animations; Munaf Majeed, CEO of Server4Sale; Salman Dar, CEO of Itroos; Sheikh Abdul Qadir, MD, IDRAK Ai; and Usman Akbar, CEO, Purelogics Group.
